Buyers shouldn’t expect the house to be flawless. Regardless of the inspection results, home inspectors should not be advising buyers as to whether they should move forward with the purchase. Their job is simply to inspect and report their findings, and then let the buyer come to their own conclusion.

In other words they will not replace failing AC unless it is not able to function at all. Our bill has almost doubled and when we called to ask for repair, we were approved to use out of area company as we were told they had no one in area. When the company came out they said the unit was in horrible shape , barely functioning within limits.
He did a very thorough job, spending 3+ hours on the 1400 Sq Ft home. His report was extremely detailed and included pictures for every issue. We will definitely use him again for any home inspection needs. On quite short notice we were able to schedule a home inspection of a very old home. Greg arrived on time and spent 6 hrs (yes six!) going through the home meticulously.
Unreasonable requests after a home inspection
With our 12 month new home warranty soon to expire, I reached out to several home inspectors that rated well on Angie's List. Due to a short turn-around time requested and it being the week of Memorial Day, several inspectors weren't available, or their costs were astronomically high . From start to finish, Greg was both professional and personable. He is very knowledgeable and made suggestions to better maintain the house. He was extremely thorough and meticulous, spending 5 hours on his initial visit . Coincidentally, the same day of the inspection our A/C stopped working on the first floor of our house.

We’ve been serving the Upstate of South Carolina since 1980. Out team has done more than 60,000 home and commercial inspections. Buyers’ Inspection Group is a local, privately-owned inspection-dedicated company.

BPG did not have a contractor to do the work on the inoperative garage door. After a week, I was told that I can find a contractor to do the work, but before the work gets done, the contractor has to send in an estimate and get approval. I work out of town during the week and do not have the time to do their job, and I STILL GET TO PAY MY $65 DEDUCTABLE! When I email them, all I get is the same response, "thank you for contacting us, please let us know how we can help". Buyer’s Protection Group was set up in 1987 to sell home warranty products only.

I highly recommend Mr Allen and fully intend to use his services in the future. Sellers are often caught by surprise when a buyer’s inspection report comes back with a long list of repairs, even if the home isn’t very old. Here are some of the most common major issues that come up during inspections. Please accept my appreciation for the excellent inspection Mr. Worley did for me at 221 Inglewood Way. Without his very detailed inspection, I could have bought a condo that would have cost me thousands of dollars and some possible health issues.

When he arrived he was professional, and explained to me what the problem was. Their home inspections are not thorough at all. We uncovered thousands and thousands of dollars of damage to our home that should have been easily found.

With 20+ years of inspection experience and over 7,000 inspections performed, we've seen it all. Our licensed home inspectors have the knowledge and expertise to provide the most comprehensive inspection services, guaranteed. We offer residential home inspections, new construction home inspections including pre-drywall and 1 year warranty, radon testing, water testing, and manufactured home inspections. Again, it depends on the market and your specific contract. Usually, the 5-10 business days allowed in the contract includes both conducting the inspection and requesting any repairs in writing. In a buyers market, buyers sometimes have more time, but in a sellers market, they usually have to act quickly.
I started my Home Inspection business here in the Triangle area in 1994. My goal is to serve my clients by providing a thorough and detailed inspection that can give you a realistic picture of the home you are buying or selling. The inspection also includes free phone or e-mail consultation as long as you are living in the home.

Terrible company with disrespectful employees and no responsibility for the mistakes. If you want to buy a house, I strongly recommend you to choose another company for your inspection. Terrible service and would definitely never recommend. He checked the water pressure by running his hand under it rather than using a gauge.
